1. Accept your diagnosis.
2. Practice good self-care.
3. Get enough sleep.
4. Use pill containers.
5. Control your impulses.
6. Keep a “master list.
7. Keep a planner.
8. Cut clutter.
9. Seek support.
10. Set alarms.
11. Keep a clock in the shower.
12. Just say no.
Some on the list are too obvious that we instinctively know – but how many of us actually do them regularly?
Some seem ludicrous: If I could control my impulses than I wouldn’t have ADHD.
As a whole along with the explanations they can provide a good start to helping you cope.
